The Problem:
Dropping paper coupons for a free pizza from the rafters at a professional basketball game is not a solution for the digital age. How do you engage with fans at professional sporting and entertainment events in a modern digital way to collect information for future marketing and drive engagement?
The Pivot:
Recognizing that fan engagement needs to occur on mobile devices.
The Fuel:
We built a fan engagement device, in the form of a helium filled blimp, that flies like a drone. We built a mobile data management platform to capture phone numbers of fans engaged at sporting and entertainment events. Pivot Fuel’s Ruben Garcia was embedded as the VP of Product. Ruben drives the products vision including the blimp and mobile data platform as well as supporting new business development efforts.

The Problem:
E-commerce is booming and more and more food vendors are selling their products online. However, shipping frozen and refrigerated products safely with dry ice or ice packs is complicated and can be expensive if you don’t make the right choices with packaging materials and coolant. If the proper temperature is not maintained during transit, food can spoil and be unsafe to eat. Most importantly, there are no order fulfillment companies focused on small, growing and mid-market e-commerce vendors shipping perishable products.
The Pivot:
We recognized the market opportunity and created a new company, Perishable Shipping Solutions.
The Fuel:
Founded the company in partnership with Ruben Garcia and Danny Catullo with deep expertise in frozen eCommerce shipping. Raised approx. $9M in venture capital. Built and operated two frozen fulfillment warehouses in Ohio and California. Employed over 200 employees. Built a culture of sales and world class customer service to delight customers.
The Results:
Grew business to $25M in annual revenues and sold to Lineage Logistics.
The Problem:

The Pivot:
Develop a strategic plan to ensure the business resources are being deployed to drive and maximize revenue and profits.
The Fuel:
We work side-by-side with management to develop and prioritize strategic initiatives for each business unit. We are developing a culture of planning, accountability and data-driven decision making.

After 15 years operating as a successful sole practitioner dog walker, Wendy wanted to ensure the business could continue producing income, even if she wasn't walking dogs herself.
The Pivot:
Transform from a single dog walking entrepreneur, to operating a dog walking business, with multiple employees, in multiple markets.
The Fuel:
